AYU International, a primary partner in the cosmetic sunless tanning industry, has created an innovative spray tanning product. Our newest breakthrough product is a soothing, rich, lotion based, spray-able self tanning solution. The most common request from our Industry spray technicians was for a Spa quality moisturizing product, which develops a streak free and smooth, yet dark, well-fading tan. We stepped up to the front, took up the challenge and AYU Plus was born!

This was no simple task. An emollient based solution can inhibit DHA development and penetration. We have been working on this project for over a year, with a great deal of testing, reformulating and even more testing. After much hard work, we have put together a state of the art spray-able lotion based formula that contains a blend of moisturizers, antioxidants, anti-irritants and still produces optimum tanning activity. Our lush spray-able lotion solution is a quality sunless tanning activity that also acts as an effective skin treatment product; which both conditions and moisturizes the skin. AYU Plus is available in a range of tanning activity strengths to cover all your clientele skin needs; 6%, 8%, 10% and 12%. Fragranced and fragrance free products are both available.

AYU Plus is formulated with a complimentary blending of Dihydroxyacetone and Erythrulose. This creates a natural looking rich tan, with slow fading and minimal unevenness. The rich lotion base is a matrix of scientifically advanced skin beneficial ingredients, which enhance penetration and reduce dry out normally associated with DHA based products. This solution base contains a masterful blending of non-sticky, easily absorbed, moisturizers such as Jojoba oil, Grape seed oil, Evening primrose oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol and Squalane. These ingredients gently moisturize and sooth the skin, without compromising the precious protective barrier function. They can even help repair and rebuild stressed and damaged skin.

An assortment of calming anti-irritants and antioxidants, help combat daily oxidative and environmental stress damage. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (Aloe Vera), Beta Glucan, Tocopherol acetate (Vitamin E) and Green Tea extract infuse this product. Finally, Dimethicone is added to create the soft, silky skin feel we all love. Each of these ingredients is unparalleled, with its own unique, enhancing skincare activities; and when combined in a positive formulation synergy, the effect can be almost amazing!

Application Tips:

AYU Plus contains a light to medium "natural" warm instant tint. This will create the immediate tan appearance, yet will not negatively impact tan fade-off, as some darkly tinted products may. Lower tint levels can minimize the pooling effect in facial and leg pores, more common in darkly tinted products. With our range of product depths, you are sure to find a tanning level appropriate for each of your clients.

6% DHA is perfect for the very fair skinned clients, or those with very dry or aged skin or fading problems; as well as the client who prefers a lighter soft touch of color. This is also a recommended product for a mid-week touch-up application if needed.

8%DHA is for the average client. It creates a nice medium tan depth, with optimal fading, without creating the "over baked effect". The appropriate solution for light to medium skin tones, though it can also be applied thinner for your fairest clients. Versatile for a wide range of skin types.

10%DHA the "enhanced" version of our popular 8% product, just slightly darker. Appropriate for all medium skinned clients and ever some of your darker skinned clients. This is a superior mid-level product, for the client who requires more depth of color, without sacrificing smooth fade-off.

12%DHA is the darkest solution in our line up. Perfect for the client with darker skin tones, or darker skin coloration from a UV based tan. This product is an intense product, for creating lots of deep color, but it may not fade as smoothly on the fairest skin types. Use caution on hands and feet and dry skin areas.

Scents:

Our products come in a variety of light spa quality scents, which have been well received by our customers. But if you find you spend long hours "back-to-back" spraying, you may choose to go with our unscented versions, to maintain a non-scented spray area. The scent-free solution is also recommended for clients with chemical fragrance sensitivities, or those with very sensitive or acne prone skin types that may be more prone to react negatively to even mild fragrances in skincare products.
