• Skincare-infused rapid formula

• 2–4 hour rinse window

• Fast-dry, non-tacky finish

• Small-batch manufactured in the USA

  • Celerity Rapid Tan is AYU's original professional rapid formula, developed to support faster surface-level DHA reaction without relying only on a heavier DHA load.

It gives artists a 2–4 hour rinse window with full color development continuing after the first rinse. The formula dries quickly, wears comfortably, and supports an even-looking tan when used with proper prep, application, and aftercare.

  • Celerity has been trusted by professional studios since 2010 because it is fast, comfortable, and dependable.

    Artists love it because it:

    • Dries quickly without a sticky feel
    • Offers flexible rinse timing
    • Provides a warm caramel-brown guide color
    • Supports even-looking results with proper technique
    • Is alcohol-free, propylene glycol-free, and formaldehyde donor-free
    • Fits easily into express and event-based tanning services

It is a true professional rapid formula for studio use.

  • Celerity has a warm caramel-brown guide color designed to help artists see coverage during application.

The bronzer is temporary and rinses away at the first rinse. It does not create the final tan. The final color comes from the DHA reaction with the outermost layer of the skin.

Immediately after rinsing, the skin may look lighter. This is normal. Full color typically develops within 8–12 hours after rinse.

  • Celerity has a 2–4 hour rinse window. Timing depends on both skin type and skin condition on the day of the appointment.

    • 2 hours — Dry, sensitive, compromised barrier, or first time clients — Fitzpatrick Type I–II
    • 2 to 3 hours — Normal healthy skin, well hydrated — Fitzpatrick Type II–III
    • 3 to 4 hours — Healthy barrier, well hydrated, consistent prep routine — Fitzpatrick Type III–IV
    • 4 hours — Healthy barrier, confirmed hydration, prior experience with this formula — Fitzpatrick Type IV and above

Note: Fitzpatrick is a starting reference only. Always assess skin condition before you start spraying — barrier integrity, hydration, and recent skin history can all override type-based timing. When in doubt, start shorter and build.

  • Sunless tanning happens in the stratum corneum, the outermost layer of the skin. DHA reacts with amino acids and proteins in this surface layer to create temporary tan color.

Celerity was formulated to support this reaction within a shorter contact window. Its rapid performance comes from formula design, including supportive solvents, humectants, antioxidants, and skin-conditioning ingredients.

Skin prep still matters. Dry, oily, over-exfoliated, or product-coated skin can affect how evenly any rapid tan develops.

  • Celerity is formulated with:

    • DHA for sunless color development
    • Dimethyl Isosorbide to support ingredient distribution
    • Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol, and Algae Extract for skin-conditioning hydration
    • Green Tea Extract and Troxerutin for antioxidant support
    • Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5 to support the appearance of well-conditioned skin

    Formulated without:

    • Drying alcohols
    • Formaldehyde donors
    • Propylene glycol
    • Harsh chemical accelerants
    • Animal testing
  • Celerity is formulated for HVLP and airbrush systems.

    Application:

    • Shake gently before use
    • Apply to clean, prepped skin
    • Use approximately 1.5–2 fl oz per full-body tan
    • Apply two light, even coats
    • Avoid over-saturating the skin
    • Allow 8–10 minutes dry time before dressing
    • Finishing powder can be used on high-friction areas as needed

Important: Pour only what is needed. Unused solution can be returned to the original bottle if it has not been sitting in the gun cup for an extended period. Discard any solution that has been left in the cup for several hours, as exposure to air and heat can affect solution quality.

  • What skin tones can use Celerity Rapid Tan?

Celerity Rapid Tan is designed for all skin tones! The customizable rinse times allow you to achieve your desired tan depth, whether you prefer a subtle glow or a deep, bronzed look.

Is Celerity Rapid Tan suitable for all skin types?

Yes! The formula is gentle and free from skin-drying alcohols, and other harsh chemicals, making it safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Its hydrating ingredients also ensure a smooth and natural fade for dry or mature skin.

    How do rapid tans work?

Rapid tans use DHA combined with other ingredients that accelerate the skin's reaction to the solution. This allows clients to rinse off sooner while achieving a full tan development over 8 to 12 hours.

Are rapid tans suitable for first-time clients?

We recommend that first-time clients start with a standard 6-8-hour solution. Rapid tans can be more unpredictable for those unfamiliar with their unique development times and color preferences.

What should clients do after rinsing off a rapid tan?

Rinse with water only—no soap—and ensure all bronzer is washed away. Afterward, apply a sunless tan-safe moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated and the tan looking its best.

Who are rapid tans ideal for?

    Rapid tans are great for:

    • Busy clients with tight schedules
    • Nursing moms
    • Gym-goers and active lifestyles
    • Clients traveling or preparing for events the next day
