Cocoanilla® Advanced Espresso may be used as a traditional 8-hour solution or as a rapid rinse, depending on desired depth and skin condition.

Rapid Rinse Guidance (Approximate):

• 1 hour: Light, natural glow (very fair or first-time clients)
• 2–3 hours: Medium to dark tan (Skin Types I–II)
• 3–4 hours: Deep golden tan (Skin Types II–III)
• 4–5 hours: Deep bronze result (Skin Types III–IV)
• 5–6 hours: Ultra-dark finish (experienced tanners)

Classic Development:

• 8 hours: Maximum espresso-dark depth for all skin types seeking full development

The formula combines DHA with peptides, botanical oils, and plant extracts to help maintain surface comfort and hydration as color develops. This controlled environment allows for more even reaction, smoother texture, and a refined fade over time.

Cosmetic bronzers serve only as visual guides during application. Final tan results are determined by DHA chemistry and the condition of the skin.

Before Spraying

• Skin must be exfoliated, clean, and free of oils, lotions, deodorant, or makeup
• Use AYU Smooth Glow Pre-Tan Prep Spray for optimal results

Solution Prep

• Shake gently before use
• Pour approximately 50 mL (1.5–2 fl oz) into the spray gun cup
• Use HVLP or airbrush system at medium-high airflow
• Do not pour unused solution back into the original container

Spray Technique

Apply two light, even coats using overlapping strokes

Maintain a consistent distance to avoid pooling or streaking

Allow 8–10 minutes to dry before dressing

Can very fair or sensitive clients use this solution?

Yes. Shorter rinse times (1–2 hours) are recommended for fair, dry, or sensitive skin.

Can this solution be mixed with other AYU formulas?

Yes. Cocoanilla® Espresso may be blended with other AYU solutions for customization. Always test ratios and store blends separately. To soften bronzer depth without affecting final color, blend with AYU Plus Clear 14%.

Does this product contain sunscreen?

No. This product does not contain sunscreen and does not protect against UV exposure.

Q: Can I adjust the bronzer depth if I want a lighter cosmetic guide color?

A: Yes. If you prefer to reduce the visible bronzer depth in Cocoanilla® Latte, Mocha, or Espresso, you may blend the solution with AYU Plus Clear of the same DHA percentage. This allows you to soften the cosmetic bronzer without altering the final developed color.

These formulas are compatible by design. Always match DHA percentages, test your ratios before use, and store any blended solution in a clearly labeled, separate container.

We do not recommend mixing with non-AYU solutions, as formulation differences can affect performance, development behavior, and final results.
